STEP’s Philosophy

Parents possess unique information about the development, nature, and needs of their children. STEP believes that parents can make an important contribution to the education of their children. Therefore, parents can and should become effective partners with professionals in planning and implementing appropriate programs. STEP provides support to parents when they request help, training, and information during this process.
